Did you guess right? THIS IS A MODERN FAKE This was sold on Ebay as ShouShan Jade! The stone ShouShan is not nephrite jade and is being misrepresented as JADE. In fact  ShouShan stone is actually classified as a Soap Stone. Although very lovely with beautiful colors and deep detail, ShouShan stone figurines are not rare and should not be considered to be valuable like genuine Ancient Nephrite Jade or even modern jades.  They are made in modern workshops with modern high speed drills and lapidary equipment primarily in the province of Fujin China. Clue: most ancient jade carving do not have this depth or carving details of ShouShan stone because of the hardness of the nephrite jade gemstone. Always seek ancient jades from expert sources
