THE
MISSING LINK
The Missing Link begins with you and
your journey through a
thousand life times. The ancient Chinese believed that the living are the quintessence of
all ancestors that lived before them in the past. Modern science has proven through DNA
that we are indeed linear beings that are the extension of all ancestors who have
lived before us.
Our history as a species is one that has been lost in time and
our past has been long forgotten. The memory of humanitys past begins with
discovered artifacts made by the hands of ancient humans. These artifact records vary and
at most only offer a small glimpse and a few clues about our past leaving more unanswered
questions than answered. Humanitys history since it birth is perhaps the greatest of
all mysteries and it is a riddle that haunts the living.
Humanities known history of civilization begins a mere 8,000
years ago with the discovery of the earliest known civilization. The modern human species
(homo sapiens sapiens) has been here on this earth for over 200,000 years so why the
enormous gap of 192,000 years before humanity starts to develop civilizations? There are
many theories and there many books that have been written on this topic. Unfortunately,
the riddle of our past and our collective amnesia only deepens.
Todays sciences have developed remarkable tools and
technologies to assist the explorers of the past in recovering our collective memories.
These explorers of the past we call archeologist and it is their job to solve the
mysteries of humanitys lost history and collective amnesia. The tool kit of the
modern archeologist incorporates a multitude of sciences that converge in an effort to
sleuth the past through the eyeglass of science. Perhaps the greatest of all the
archeologist tools is still artifact evidence.
The physical reality of an artifact and the story it tells has
been the light that has illuminated our past through the darkness of forgotten time. It is
the discovery of artifacts and their close examinations that have begun to unravel the
riddle to our long lost past. Of all the sciences employed in deciphering and exploring an
artifact none are more powerful than the human mind. One very essential tool that is still
resisted by archaeologists to employ is psychometrics as it is considered subjective and
not scientific. What is psychometrics you may ask? Psychometrics is the ability to acquire
a divination of facts concerning an artifact or its owner through contact with or
proximity to the artifact.
In 1972 while living in
Hong Kong
I met a man who opened my eyes and my mind to the ancient world. This man
introduced me to the world of ancient Chinese jade artifacts. He told me that
these ancient artifacts would lead me to the answers that I sought about
humanities past. His name is Wong Tien Chung and he is a man who believes that
psychometrics is the only tool that can explore the vastness of humanities lost
past and recall its collective memories. He is a man who defies simple
explanation, because his view points of both the ancient and modern world are
profound. I have been privileged to have had Wong Tien Chung as my teacher and
guide for the past 33 years of my life. What I am about to share with you is the
knowledge that I have gained from my teacher and from ancient jade artifacts
that have enabled me to reveal to you the MISSING LINK.-Ian
